This whole scene was actually kind of difficult to write/panel;
I wanted to make his dad menacing and show that he's abusive without actually showing the physical abuse or use foul language... all without showing his face.

And now Otto really has disappeared. :o

That second panel is a lot like a gesture Jupiter made way back in Chapter Three (PG36). No wonder Otto bristled up when Jupes touched him on the shoulder. :0

Man.. I can only imagine the abuse the mother must be subjected to as well to allow such awful things to be said and done to them both. In my head, I would ideally love to see her take that frying pan to the abusive jerk's head and run to safety, but I know that's not how it ends.. :(

I've just finished reading through this comic in one day, nearly in one sitting. Some things that stick out to me are the conversation about a living robot (is blue "alive"?), and Jupiter's affirmation that he is "one of God's creations." Both are very interesting and difficult topics, given Jupiter's unknown origins, and the status of consciousness/state of living itself. Being myself a Christian, I'm also really intrigued by Jupiter's belief in God, since he is an alien machine, and has seemingly retained this belief for a great deal of time. Your art style and character development have been steadfast and intriguing as well, not to mention the plot!

Suffice to say, I've really enjoyed what you've made so far, and am looking forward to further story. Thank you!
