Submitting this early because I won't have time tomorrow morning.

Jupiter's behavior with Otto just seems odd... like, all the time. What's up with that?
Well, we'll find out one day and I'll point you back to this page along with a few others for an "ohhhhh" moment.

After reading as much as I have I can confidently say that Jupiter is Issac Asimov's dream of robotics realized. He may not follow the "Three Laws of Robotics", but he has a level of morality and ethics that Asimov would agree with. To him robots were never meant to be machines of war, they were meant to be helpful workers, benign protectors and if necessary vigilant guardians of our safety (all without hurting us or what we considered most important). I'm surprised and Asimov reference hasn't been made yet, if my calculations are right (which they probably aren't) Asimov should be alive at around the time the story's present takes place, maybe he's still child in New York or a fully grown adult, but either way it would be nice to see him at least referenced.

@dracone: I did use the word "roblock" back in chapter one in reference to Asimov. :D
