And with that crpytic reply we end the chapter!

You can take what Otto says here one of two ways: either he's lying or he's telling the truth... both of which have interesting implications.

He's afraid of his mother, who looks like a cat...

Otto, don't hide your inner love for cats... Even though most of them would like to rip your insides out... Don't hide it!^_^

Both cats he's seen in the comic were white...a coincidence??

I thought the cat was cute in the close-up a few pages back. Certainly not the type of cat that would claw your face off.

Could cats be a trigger? Something about cats bringing back memories of scenarios less than desirable?

Whenever I go to look at illustrations of the characters, I see the one with Otto as a child on the porch and think that he lived in a despicable situation with a mother who performed promiscuous acts with individuals from town.

Aaaand I'm done rambling. Looking forward to the next chapter!

Blurble I believe he has an aversion to green eyes as they remind him of his father, the father that most likely abused or killed his mother. Leading him to become self destructive because he most likely displaced his anger towards his father upon himself, leading to his troubled past and social alienation.
